For the first time ever, you no longer need a traditional, bulky, mains powered unit to read your documents.
Being no larger or heavier than a 17 inch laptop computer, and running off batteries, the ReadAnywhere is truly portable.

Quality of Speech

The ReadAnywhere uses the latest AT&T Natural voices for the highest quality speech available with superb intonation.

Portability

Take it anywhere - the most revolutionary feature of the ReadAnywhere is the fact that you can take it anywhere!
Weighing less than 3.8 kg and being no the larger than a lap top computer in size plus the fact that ReadAnywhere will operate up to five hours with its built in rechargeable batteries means you will never have the problem of not being able to read text ever again!

Ease of Use

Using the same tried and tested controls of its big brother (the ReadEasy) the ReadAnywhere is incredibly simple to operate.

No awkward Sub-Menus - We realise that sub-menus take time to navigate through and add unwanted complexity. That is why everything is directly accessible from the main reading area within one button press.
The HELP button - In the main reading area, passing the help button activates the Help Mode. This excellent feature allows you to discover the function of any button simply by pressing it! Pressing the same button twice exit help mode and actually performs that buttons function. It could not be simpler! Pressing the help button at any other time tells the user what options they have and what buttons they should press to perform their desired function.
Automatic Orientation - It does not matter which way round you place your document into ReadAnywhere.

CD Writing / Playing Ability

You can copy your documents onto CD so you can listen to them on any standard CD player or edit them on P C.
You can also listen to any audio CD of your ReadAnywhere!

Accuracy of Recognition

Unbeatable Accuracy - ReadAnywhere uses the latest optical character recognition (OCR) engine that is recognized as being the most accurate available by independent reviews. This means that whenever you scan a document you can be assured that it will be superbly accurate every time.
Small Font Sizes and Poor Quality Print - Documents with very small font sizes (down to 4pt), pictures, lists, columns and poor quality newsprint can all be scanned with superb accuracy.

Versatility

Multi page documents - Single documents with more than one page can easily be created. Once the first page has been scanned, the following pages can be scanned in the background whilst the first page is being read out aloud. This allows you to read continuously with no irritating pauses between pages!
Saving, Loading and Deleting Documents - When a document is saved, a sound file can be recorded naming the document using the built in microphone that allows a user to identify it. When loading or deleting a file, the user scrolls through a list of the saved files and as they do, the sound file that has been recorded for that file is played back allowing it to be identified.
Large book handling - The lid of the ReadAnywhere is Double Hinged allowing thick books to be easily insisted without damage.

Speed

Twice as fast as most competitors - Less than 50 seconds from being turned on, ReadAnywhere is ready to scan the first page. A standard letter type document then takes only 25 seconds before it can be read out to you. Complicated newspaper documents with many columns and photographs take only 35 seconds!
